Depth Diggers
A downloadable game for Windows
Dig. Rescue. Ascend.
Depth Diggers is a pixel-art incremental mining game with short sessions and permanent progression. Dive down a shaft through 4 increasingly deep zones with a limited supply of swings per expedition, smelt what you mine and spend it on a permanent upgrade tree, rescue Mini'Ohs that dig alongside you, and defeat each zone's boss until you reach the Abyss Core.
What makes it different
- Nothing ever resets. No prestige, no restarts: every expedition counts.
- Expeditions are measured in swings, not seconds. Clicking faster finishes sooner, but it doesn't take you deeper. The game doesn't reward mashing the mouse.
- No grinding. A new upgrade every few expeditions, never a wall of costs or inflated boss HP.
- Bosses keep their damage between expeditions, and each one has its own mechanic and 3 phases: weak points, shards, shields, bosses that sink deeper.
- A radial upgrade tree you discover as you buy, which also unlocks new content as you go.
- Mini'Ohs, little mining robots that dig on their own by your side, even when you're not clicking. Each has a name, a trait and its own look.
- Accessible: once you unlock Cadence, hold to dig instead of clicking every swing.
What's new in demo 0.5.1
- Bosses with mechanics and phases, each with its own art, and a living weak point: an eye that looks at you, flinches and runs away.
- Special blocks and hidden chambers: gunpowder charges, geodes, bedrock, buried chests and boss shards.
- Contracts: pick one of two optional challenges per expedition for bonus material. 21 in total.
- The forge: smelt raw material while you dig, load it with alloys and upgrade your crucibles.
- Crew and gear: 6 Mini'Oh traits, a camp to swap crew members, and gear cases with common to legendary items.
- Block guide: tap the mascot to see what every block does. It fills in as you play.
- Quality of life: video options (window mode, resolution, FPS cap, VSync), flashier damage numbers, credits, and English as the default language.
- Balance: fewer Minios per row, bigger crucibles for the late game, and a much shorter, grind-free run.
Demo 0.5.1 includes
- 4 zones, each with its own boss
- 4 active abilities, 6 temporary buffs, 8 relics and 13 achievements
- 5 special blocks, hidden chambers and 21 contracts
- In-game tutorial, block guide and a "How to play" guide
- English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese
The demo is short and focused: our balance bot finishes a run in about half an hour, so expect a bit longer on your first playthrough.
